Tardy was born with a birth defect called cerebellar hypoplasia.
Cerebellar Hypoplasia affects cats balance,and that is all. They are not in pain and they are not unhappy. With a little extra care and understanding, they live full happy lives. Thier owners tend to spoil the heck out of them.
He is a very special kitty, as he is the founder of the CH Kitty Club, a group of caring people and thier cats with this particular disability. We share stories and advice daily on a yahoo based group in addition to the ch website. (See Tardy's discussion group button above)
Our main goal is to stop people/vets from euthanizing these sweet loving cats, there is NO reason to kill them!!! Tardy is 12 now, and has a wonderful life full of love and caring behind him, and hopefully many years of the same in front of him.
